The library of Congress today announced the appointment of w.s Merwin as the next poet laureate of United Staaten.Ehren Merwin of the appointment, here is a poem originally published in writing to an unfinished support, 1973 but re-released 2005 in migration: new and selected poems, where I found it first.

Something I have not done

I haven't done something
Follow me
I've done it again.
So it has many traces
how a drumstick has become old and never been used

In the late afternoon, I hear it come closer
Sometimes it rises from the sea
on my shoulders
and I shrug it off
a chance to lose

Every morning
It is part drunk my breath for the day.
and know which way
I am going
and already it is not enough

But again, I say, I will lay hands on it
Morning
and its mark add my heart
and its history I regret
and its still my compass

I love the way it is kind of worry-free, but in the end, that so much weighs more feel it Anfang.Sie increasingly difficult, as you just as longer read it, something remains that reversed the harder it grows.

And here Merwin his poem "Yesterday" you all feel at least a little family is to make debt to read:

Merwin is a definitely a good choice for poet laureate.
